Loading ...Want to share my experience of buying a new set of tires from local or online stores.
After hours and hours of research I came back to the site TireRack.com for that online store indeed has the best prices on the market (IMO).
But what makes that store truly unique is a very dynamic website with online inventory update and “Close Out” sales.
How does it work?
I was looking for a 17″ summer tires with three options for the size: 205/45/R17 or 215/40/R17 or 215/45/R17
and I noticed that every day there is one or two tires that were listed for $110 USD all of a sudden are listed for half price with a mark besides the price “Closeout Sale”. You have to act quickly for that kind of sales finish pretty fast. If offered on sale brand of tire and a model is somewhat popular the stock will be empty in a day at most.
Here are some examples of the sales that I missed:
1. Kumho ECSTA SPT – $55/each
2. BFGoodrich Scorcher T/A – $30/each
But I was lucky and picked up these ones:
Kumho ECSTA KH11 (215/45/R17) – $65/each – instead of $110/each

Beisides it’s a Canadian Customers Friendly site too – that means all the duty and taxes are collected up front, so there is no surprises when UPS knocks your door with two huge boxed two days later after you placed your order.
